[Blockchain Today — Reporter Jaemin Kim(김재민기자)] Gesia Platform announced on the 25th that it has signed MOUs with major domestic companies pursuing ESG management and carbon neutrality.


Through the MOUs with ESG management companies, it was revealed that Gesia Chain and Gesia Platform will facilitate the purchase and distribution of carbon offsets for corporate carbon neutrality. The companies will be able to purchase and verify the necessary carbon offsets through the Gesia Platform.


The companies included in the MOUs are carbon offset companies such as


Lush Korea, carbon neutrality efforts companies like Sanghyo Botanical Garden Co.,Ltd , Allure korea , NICE Payments.co.,Ltd , cyworld z co. , Hallacement Co. , ASIA CEMENT CO.,LTD. , KIUM CONSTRUCTION CO.,Ltd , han dong construction co., ltd , Dareumplus.co.Ltd , PharmGen Science, Inc. , KC Cottrell Co., Ltd. , Korea Lube , E bridge , Jeon in corporation , DA WON ELECTRONICS CO. , ULP CO., LTD , Rempus Inc. , I-mall PMG Co.Ltd. , Baroque , Mj-hospital , EG Chem among others.


These companies have agreed to utilize the Gesia Platform for carbon neutrality when it is launched.


In addition, as Gesia Chain node participants, Netmics, Hivelab, Hashus, Ynot cooperation(Showhale) have joined.


Kim Bitna, the CEO of Gesia Platform, stated, “We have successfully recruited companies for carbon neutrality in collaboration with GEC, the only carbon-neutral nonprofit corporation recognized by the Ministry of Environment. We aim to provide a distribution model for the domestic carbon offset market and establish a business infrastructure to lead the domestic market using domestic technology.”


Gesia Platform is actively developing Gesia Chain to promote carbon emissions trading and carbon offset trading in collaboration with the Korea Forest Service and various domestic companies. They plan to open the Carbon Monster app in July, allowing individuals to participate in donation activities to erase their carbon footprints.
