The Green Earth Community (GEC), an incorporated association, announced on the 5th that it held its founding general meeting at Seoul National University Business School in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.

After industrialization, the average temperature of the earth has risen by 1.5°C, and extreme weather such as heat waves, heavy snowfalls, and heavy rains continues. The importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and carbon neutrality (NetZero) is emerging.

Accordingly, the Green Earth Community was established to develop a value-creating business model based on new perspectives, technologies and methods, and to form a community that combines all constituents of society to realize a social contribution-type business that benefits all participants.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by 30 people including 5 board members and advisors, including Professor Won-woo Park of Seoul National University Business School, Professor Hyuk-jun Kwon of the Department of Economics and Finance at Soonchunhang University, and Kwang-hyun Kim, CEO of KODIA (Korea Digital Innovation Alliance). The agenda for decision, business plan and budget were deliberated and resolved.

The Green Earth community develops a project to realize a decarbonized green economy through a campaign to erase carbon footprints and a project to prevent desertification that is spreading due to global warming, war and reckless development for individuals and domestic and foreign companies to respond to climate change and reduce carbon.

In addition, we create social value through domestic projects such as the campaign to erase the carbon footprint that anyone can participate in and the NetZero method contest for millennials and utilize the Carbon-Offset in collaboration with a number of advisors. Conduct overseas business.
